• From Customers: Name, phone number, delivery address, email, payment details (UPI/QR, card info if enabled), order history.
• From Restaurants: Business name, owner details, FSSAI license, GST number, bank account details, menu information.
• From Delivery Partners: Name, phone number, address, driving license, vehicle details, bank account details.
• Automatically Collected: Device details, app usage data, location (for delivery tracking), IP address.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected data to:
• Facilitate food ordering, payments, and delivery.
• Share customer order details with restaurants and delivery partners.
• Track orders in real time.
• Process payouts to restaurants and delivery partners.
• Improve app performance and customer experience.
• Communicate offers, promotions, or updates (with consent).
• Ensure compliance with laws (e.g., GST, FSSAI).
3. Data Sharing
We only share information with:
• Restaurants: Customer details (name, contact, address, order info) to fulfill orders.
• Delivery Partners: Customer details (name, contact, address) for delivery.
• Payment Providers: Banks, UPI, or payment gateways to process transactions.
• Legal Authorities: If required under applicable laws.
We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
We use third-party service providers including Google (Firebase, Maps), Razorpay, and similar processors that may store or process data on servers located outside India. We comply with the Central Government's list of restricted countries under DPDP Act 2023 § 16 (currently no countries are restricted).
All third-party processors are contractually bound to comply with Indian data protection standards.
4. Data Storage, Security & Retention
• All information is stored securely in compliance with Indian IT laws.
• We use encryption, firewalls, and secure servers to protect data.
• Access to personal data is restricted to authorized staff only.
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purpose collected:
• Order history: 8 years (GST / Income Tax Act requirement)
• Account profile: until you delete your account + 90 days
• Payment transaction records: 8 years (RBI / IT Act)
• Delivery location data: deleted within 30 days of order completion
• Customer support chats: 24 months
• Marketing consent logs: until withdrawn + 6 months
On account deletion, identifying data is erased. Records required by tax/RBI law are retained for the periods above and then deleted.

Our app may use cookies or similar technologies for analytics and personalization. Users can disable them in device/app settings.
6. User Rights
You have the right to:
• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request corrections or updates.
• Request deletion of your account/data (subject to legal obligations).
• Opt-out of marketing communications.
7. Children’s Privacy
Plattr is NOT intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
If we discover that a person under 18 has registered without verifiable parental consent, we will delete the account and associated data promptly.
We do not undertake behavioural tracking of minors or deliver targeted advertising to minors.

8. Account Deletion
You can delete your Plattr account at any time:
1. In the app: open Profile → tap "Delete Account" → confirm
2. By email: send your registered phone number to delete@plattr.co.in from any email address; we will verify and process the request
Deletion completes within 30 days. After deletion:
- Your name, contact details, addresses, favourites, and chat history are erased
- Order analytics are anonymized (not linked to you)
- Financial transaction records, GST invoices, and fraud-control flags are retained for 8 years as required by Indian tax law and RBI guidelines, then deleted
Note: Accounts using the demo / preview mode cannot be deleted — these are non-personal demonstration accounts shared across reviewers and do not store personal data.
9. Updates to Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of Plattr after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
